Do not agree: I do not agree with the fac that "there's no crying in sports photography." An athlete in tears after a game was lost has a similar impact as a photo of a celebrating athlete after a game is won. Agree: The tobogganing photo is beauiful. There's a nice light to it and the trees in the background add a nice touch. Great dynamics.

-        Name of photographer: Alyssa Schukar -        General focus: photo- portraits that tell a story -        3 problems that judges addressed: not getting up close and personal, too much distance between subject and viewer, each picture is too similar, not enough strong singles. -        2 things the judges liked: The guy sweeping the stream in Haiti photo: background and its colours, baseball celebration picture -        My overall impression of the photographer? Likes and dislikes?: I don’t like all of the photos because they seem really standard.
