"The Camera History and Basic Functions" 1. Explain the “camera obscura” effect. How is it achieved? In c. 500 B.C.E, Chinese and Greek philosophers discovered the "camera  obscure" effect. They found that when light is focused through a tiny hole in a wall, the scene is projects on another close by surface, upside down. 2. What invention during the 17th Century helped man get a step closer to creating the modern camera? 1st Day Photos

1st Day Photos I like this photo because I think it is framed well. The two flowers in the background are in-between the slots in the gate, and the bottom flower, at the front of the image, is the one in docs as opposed to the top flower. The neutral tones in this photograph are pleasing, and the yellow gives the picture a bit of life. If I were to retake this picture, I would not have the sunflowers (in the front) centered This photo would look like it was taken in a luscious field if I could crop the parking lot out of the top left.  I love how the photo is framed, and the blue on the tiny flowers compliments the yellow on the sunflower, which a tiny bee has landed on. I like how the photo is overexposed in the back because it draws attention to the front of the image. This is a picture of my partner Aubrey. I like the contrast between her and the background, and the her eyes stand out from the blue wall. I should have taken the photo from a lower angle, and ...

Welcome To My Blog I want to be in photography class to further improve my picture taking skills. I only understand how to change a few settings on my personal camera, and I want to understand most of them. I am enjoying this class and look forward to all the new photography skills I will acquire.
