ACADEMIC SHOOT CRITUQUE

Academic Shoot Reflection and Critique

At first, I had a hard time going into peoples' classrooms because I am very shy, and I didn't want to bother them. While I was shooting, I found myself to be thinking more about framing instead of focusing my camera. If I were to redo this assignment, I would pay more attention to how in-focsu my camera is, because worst case scenario it can be cropped and manipulated in photoshop. How ever, I would not change how my photographs were framed; but I would be less shy and actually go into a classroom.
In photography, I think the easiest rule to achieves the rule of thirds because all you have to do is picture an imaginary grid and place your objects within the squares. I am not unclear with any rules, but I'm not the best at avoiding mergers.

Sports warm up

why is this part of a winning sports portfolio assignment? This picture displays the light-hearted relationship between the coach and his players. It's also almost like a behind the scenes photo, and it's interesting to see serious athletes with their guard down. Also, the photo is framed well and captured at the perfect moment. What is the shutter speed? The shutter speed is high, at maybe around 1/1600 or so. Is this a key moment? Could it have been planned? This photo could have been planned beforehand. What advances/techniques are present in this photo? The photo is well balanced and the people form a nice line. The rule of thirds is used, and there's good contrast between the subject and the background.
