Shutterbug Websites (2 post day)

Shutterbug Websites         The Website DIYPhotography ( ht tps://www.diyphotography.net) is intended to inform beginner photographers about simple camera hacks, different photography techniques, lighting tips, and many more tips and tricks that make a good photo. For the most part, they write about new hardware that aids the proccess of photography, preview images taken on the latest camera model, give some advice, and sometimes, photographers share their experiences shooting and provide readers with insight on what elements they used to create their stunning photos. For example, photographer Leon Yakabov posted an article titled "How I Shot A Nightmarish Mirrored Cat Using Strobes, Constant Light And Gels," which I'm sure will come in handy for photograpehrs that are learnign how to encoorperate more unique elements and props into his or hers photo.          DIYPhotography is definately a very useful website, for an average viewer could ...

Self-Portrait vs Selfie (2 post day)

Self Portrait vs Selfie         What is the difference between a self-portrait and a selfie? A "selfie" is usually described as a photo one takes of one's self, typically taken on a cell phone or on a webcam. Most of the time, a selfie is taken with the intention of posting it on some sort of social media platform (eg. Instagram, Snapchat...). On the other hand, a self-portrait is made  by its artist and is more about conveying a mood or a certain vibe, as opposed to selfies, in which having a pretty face is one of the only concerns.         Personally, I prefer self-portraits over selfies. Selfies can be pretty dry and boring sometimes... most people use the same angle, the same face, and the same filter. I find that self-portraits tend to be more unique and outside of the box. Take this photo of Andy Warhol, for example: It's much more unique than the average selfie.         I'm not saying that selfies can't be un...

Phobia Project

What is a phobia? A phobia is a rational or irrational fear of someone or something. The fear is so extreme that one may be entirely consumed by it. Name and define 5 phobias 1) Aurophobia is the fear of gold. 2)  Carnophobia is the fear of meat. 3)  Iatrophobia is the fear of going to the doctor. 4)  Lachanophobia is the fear of vegetables. 5)  Ophthalmophobia is the fear of being stared at. Ideas for my phobia shoot: Fear of death What am I shooting? : I'll be shooting a black and white image of a dead tree from reasonably far away, and have my model kneeling next to it as if she were crying for help. I'll also be shooting at sunset or at night  Location - my backyard or a field with a dead tree Props - My sister, Allie Format - horizontal  Subject placement - I want the tree more to the left of the image and the model nearby Background - hopefully, nothing much will be behind my subjects besides a few other trees in the distance. ...

2019-– Review of 2018

3 of my favourite photos This is one of my favourite photos because it is vibrant and colourful. I also like the powerful energy this photo gives off. This is an important photo because it shows the last male, white rhino... dead. This image shows that if we are not respectful of nature, more and more animal species will face extinction. This is one of my favourite photos because I used to love and support Ally Raisman when I was in gymnastics. As well as that, I was thrilled that she decided to take matters to court instead of accepting the bribe she was offered to keep things private. Best song of 2018 Pretty Girl- Clairo I really liked the artist Clairo for most of 2018. I say "for most of" because she has not come out with any new songs lately, and I get tired of music quickly. However, I liked this song for the longest time compared to any other song. Clairo's style of music is very unique and can be played in almost any chill setting (like hanging out ...
