Shutterbug Websites         The Website DIYPhotography ( ht tps://www.diyphotography.net) is intended to inform beginner photographers about simple camera hacks, different photography techniques, lighting tips, and many more tips and tricks that make a good photo. For the most part, they write about new hardware that aids the proccess of photography, preview images taken on the latest camera model, give some advice, and sometimes, photographers share their experiences shooting and provide readers with insight on what elements they used to create their stunning photos. Self Portrait vs Selfie         What is the difference between a self-portrait and a selfie? A "selfie" is usually described as a photo one takes of one's self, typically taken on a cell phone or on a webcam. Most of the time, a selfie is taken with the intention of posting it on some sort of social media platform (eg. Instagram, Snapchat...). On the other hand, a self-portrait is made  by its artist and is more about conveying a mood or a certain vibe, as opposed to selfies, in which having a pretty face is one of the only concerns.         Personally, I prefer self-portraits over selfies. Selfies can be pretty dry and boring sometimes... most people use the same angle, the same face, and the same filter. I find that self-portraits tend to be more unique and outside of the box.
